“If your business is not on the internet, then your business will be out of business” – Bill Gates
Can you remember a time when you looked at a company’s website to find a product or service and you were shocked to see this old-fashioned website, badly organized, making it hard to find the data you were intending to get? What about a company that didn’t have any website?
In both instances (especially the second one) you probably felt that this company wasn’t serious or that it was probably a scam.
NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO, whether you run a construction company, an online store or even a charity organization, you need to understand the 2 reasons why a website is there to begin with.
1. Traffic: clients or potential clients need to find you.
2. Conversion: your website need to turn visitors into buyers so you can earn money.
A common mistake that out-of-date business owners make, is to underestimate the power of a website. Would you invest in upgrading your office space (painting the walls, adding nice ornaments, rearranging the space workflow ) so it looks clean and professional? Then, you should also invest in improving or making a website.
According to a survey by Weebly, 56% of costumers said they won’t trust a business without a website. And a badly designed website will obviously generate less business or possibly no business.
Nowadays, people turn to the Internet first to get information about business and products. This makes online presence one of the most valuable assets for any business.
Social Media Explorer, reported 44% of small businesses don’t even have a website!
The moral of this story is, spend on a website… and not just any website, but a good website. Something that will represent how valuable your products or services are and therefore how valuable and professional you are.
